Great Northern Plumbing Inc. offers complete Mechanical services including Plumbing, Heating, and Gas-fitting. Working with engineers and sub-contractors that perform Sheet Metal, Fire Protection, Controls, Mechanical Insulation, Refrigeration, and Engineering.

We have many diverse systems in place to ensure accurate alternative analysis. We have a new state of the art estimating system called Quickpen - Auto Bid Mechanical. This system is a Windows based system which allows us to produce re-printable single line drawings and compare alternate systems to determine which manner is most cost effective.

Working hand in hand with General Contractors, consultants or owners, we will be able to determine the most functional and cost effective system for our Canadian climate, Building Code, and local regulations.

Project Planning and Cost Control

Due to our past experience in Hospital Renovations, Long- Term Care Facilities, Hotel and Staff accommodation, School Renovations and New School Construction, we are able to provide you with accurate and on time project planning. Our track record, in regards to cost control, has enabled us to secure materials and equipment, as well as, sub-trade pricing at firm, long term committed pricing. We have achieved this by prompt payments and an exceptional credit rating.

Project Scheduling

Our past experience in the construction industry enables us to complete projects within the time frame required. We understand the importance and need for scheduling equipment, manpower and materials to coincide with all trade contractors to ensure the project is completed on time.

We will procure all equipment delivery schedules and manpower requirements, to provide you with a project schedule specifically geared to your stated completion date.

Administration and Documentation

We are prepared to provide weekly work progress reports, accumulate and submit all permits, inspection reports, sub-trade activity and cash flow forecasts as required.

Procurement, Safety, and Quality Management

Great Northern participates in the Partnerships in Health and Safety, and as such takes great pride in our safety excellence. Every employee is familiar with our company safety policy and will fully comply with such. We have, on staff, a quality safety officer. All of our personnel have First Aid certification, and fully WHMIS trained.

Quality Management will be achieved by a hands on commitment from our owner John Romney.
